Snowcode 2014 collage

Our first year in La Clusaz, 19 to 26 January, billed as a NoSQL developer unconference. Ed Porras came over from New York and filmed the week.

We picked La Clusaz because it was quieter than the big-name resorts and not full of English skiers. It has 220km of pistes, the slopes don't get crowded, and the powder doesn't get tracked out straight away. The chalet had meeting rooms, projectors and wifi, so we skied during the day and coded late into the night. Ed travelled 3,625 miles to be there, which is still the furthest anyone has come for a snowcode.

The original Snowcode 2014 flyer: "Off the beaten path = POW-DAH!", NoSQL Developer Unconference, La Clusaz, 19th to 26th Jan 2014, £845 all inclusive.

This is wot we paid back then ! <grin!>
